My experience at Connect IT Workshop

Connect IT workshop has familarized me with the varied functions of Microsoft 2007.
Its indeed been a great platform for learning and sharing. Some things when shown on the screen seemed like magic. Things that we have doing in the difficult way is now simpler and faster. At the end of the third I can proudly say that I rate myself 4 on the scale of 5.

Mr. Ashutosh, the facilitator for the workshop is superb. His style of facilitating and reaching at the learning level of the heterogenous participants are commendable. Not to forget his levels of patience...excellent.

Its been a wonderful platform for NGOs to engage in a dialogue and know about the good work each one is doing.
I look forward for the second phase of this workshop.

Building homes in Thailand at the Carter Work Project

82 Thai families have a place to call home
Thailand, the "Land of Smiles," is one of the great economic development success stories of recent times. Yet for many low-income families, increased demand for land and land prices has made access to decent housing impossible. Some 8.2 million people live in substandard housing.Chiang Mai is the main host site for the 2009 Carter Work Project. Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn joins the Chiang Mai community, celebrities and approximately 3,000 volunteers for a week-long build. Eighty two simple, decent homes will be built in partnership with low-income families in northern Thailand.
